do all AP test score get automatically put in your transcript? I'm semi-panicking here because my teacher kinda persuaded all of us to take the compsci one which I suck at. If no, whew.. but if yes--well lets just say i have major cramming to do.

AP CS is easy. Don't worry. A or AB?

That would depend on your high school (the transcript question).

I took it back in the C++ days, and I'm not sure how much has changed for Java but I remember the A test was a cakewalk, and the AB was challenging but quite doable. Or else our class just had very good instruction because we had something like two 4's and six 5's combining the two tests.
The most helpful general tip for me was to learn to logically evaluate my code and determine whether it would work instead of running it in a compiler for it to find errors for me. Hand tracing was valuable. Also I'm sure you know this, but if you have no idea, just write some code that looks ok down and you have a good chance of picking up a few points.
I'm assuming general tips translate from C++ to Java (I don't know any Java at all), so if I'm making no sense that's why. And at my high school, AP does not appear on our transcript but I have no idea if that's standard practice or not.

Java is almost identicle to C++, so the AP tests will be similar (the marine biology case study is almost exactly the same for both C++ and Java).
I took Comp Sci A AP in C++, but didn't take the AP test because I thought I would be taking AB the next year (and then the teacher quit). My brother took the AP test (it was his first ever AP test) and when he was finished he seriously thought about cancelling his score. He didn't, and he got a four. So even if the test feels hard, the scoring is pretty lenient.
I am now taking AP Comp Sci AB in Java (retook AP Comp Sci A last team in Java), and most of the stuff is similar to the C++ material. But I guess what I'm saying is, don't worry - the CS test isn't really that bad.

Don't worry i'm panicking, too. my class is online so everything i learned is basically self-taught. and ummm...yea. which reminds me, i'm going to study for that NOW

Your AP test scores come from Collegeboard. They work the same way as the SAT. When you go to send your AP scores to a college, the score of every AP test you have taken will be in the transcript. You can not omit any.

thanks guys. I took a practice multiple choice only and got a border line 3. The people from last year did really poorly too so I'm seriously considering cancelling the test if the score go on your transcript.
