I'm from a French school in Canada and got inot Harvard and Oxford (though not Yale, go figure...). Here's my advice: do the toughest stuff there is in your school, practice for the SAT's in your before-last year then take them in the last year. Right now, I'd download the applications from the universities you're considering and look over what they're looking for. Since you live in an "exotic" country, do some original extracurricular things, like volunteering and humanitarian work, stuff you couldn't relaly do in the US: foster your originality... and build your vocabulary for those SAT's!
