Hey guys/gals, I've signed up to take an economics course (Financial Markets) for three weeks at Brown ..(its called Summer at Brown) i think, and i was wondering if any of you have maybe taken this course or have any input on whether the whole Brown summer scene is fun.
Thanks

I had a lot of fun at Summer at Brown. Providence is an awesome city, there was a lot to do both around the city and on the campus. It was cool meeting people from all around the country and it gave you a real taste of college life...making your own friends, NO curfew, going to class, going out....all that...It was fun. Only thing was that my class, about cancer, was only about 3 hours in the morning. So it left a lot of time to do a lot of other things and that's how most classes were. I don't know if the information you learn is worth the money, but the experience is! And don't do it just to increase your chances of getting in to Brown! haha I got REJECTED...woo, it was still a fun experience though. Goodluck!

Hi! I'm also taking the three week financial market course at Brown, and I was curious as to how big the classes are, and how heavy the workload is.

Hi guys...I know you asked this a while ago, but I'll answer anyways. I loved summer at brown. I met some great friends who I still talk to now, and about the workload, I really didn't do much. The only thing we did was write a 10 page paper at the end (I was also in the cancer class...probably in the same class as soccergrl). You learn a lot of cool stuff in the classes, and the information is advanced, but it's not as much work as a college course. As for class size, I only had about 12 people in my class, so that was nice, but econ will probably be a little bigger. I'd definitely recommend it. I had so much fun, and in the end, brown rejected me. *sigh* oh well.
