Worth attending (forget price)? Anyone know how selective it is? Does it just test your ability to sign a check, or what?

I hear that it is somewhat selective, but it is very competitive o get into. My brother went a few years ago.

for high school students? I got in with a 1090... its pretty easy to get in... they don't even ask for an essay

I don't know what Mfacusse is talking about...I got in this year, and I had to sent PSAT scores, a transcript, three recommendations, and FIVE essays...definitely worth going to, and my guidance counselor said they accept aboug 21% of applicants.

what?? there are NO essays..just 2 teacher reccomendations (& one fromguidance),one page of SHORT questions ("what was the most meaningful book you read in the last yr" type thing) and yes a transcript.
omg, i seriously hope you didn't think those were ESSAY questions! They left a small space for you to answer the questions in 3-4 sentences; that's what I did last yr and got in (1060 psat).
REGARDLESS, you're in and that's all that matters; hope you have as good a time as I did.
(btw, i might still go this yr, but have yet to apply. My choices are pre-calc and linguistics..help me decide please!)

yes, SAT, PSAT, and ACT scores for the secondary school program
