I just got into GSNJ for Public Issues! My letter came today.

Any other potential public issues scholars out there?

Anyone else hear back from them yet? (I have friends waiting to hear back from Arts, Sciences, and International Studies.)

What did you guys apply for?

By Crnchycereal (Crnchycereal) on Tuesday, March 30, 2004 - 08:14 pm: Edit

Congratulations to all. From what I've heard, GSNJ is the best Governor's School program in the country and it's definitely a HUGE boost for college apps. And both of my friends who attended would definitely say it was the best experience of their lives.

I had a D in geometry because I was out for finals due to a medical reason. Every teacher said ok when I showed them the note, but my geometry teacher said no blah blah blah... so she gave me an F for both 4th marking period and for my final.

By Haruhara (Haruhara) on Friday, April 02, 2004 - 05:05 pm: Edit

you got waitlisted for govn school?

By Haruhara (Haruhara) on Friday, April 02, 2004 - 05:07 pm: Edit

are you sure it was the D in geometry that messed you up? what'd you get on PSAT? were your essays good?

By Dumbgirl (Dumbgirl) on Friday, April 02, 2004 - 05:38 pm: Edit

yup im an alternate, but i didnt even bother replying back. its obviously not very selective if my friend with a 1220 got in and i got waitlisted (im a dumbass!) gov school can suck it!

By Haruhara (Haruhara) on Friday, April 02, 2004 - 06:09 pm: Edit

1220 got in... wow... where? i mean, if it's arts, your psat score won't have as much weight

By Magoo112 (Magoo112) on Friday, April 02, 2004 - 06:34 pm: Edit

essay's were great even my next yr AP teacher said so...

SATs = 1370 =( ( I KNOW ITS LOW so stfu)...
I had straight for the marking period I sent my transcript (AP Chem, history, spanish.. rest honors)...

My GPA is like 4.431. But w/e. I'm pretty damn sure it's that D. My recommendations look so good I coulda sworn there was a halo aroun' them.

By Haruhara (Haruhara) on Friday, April 02, 2004 - 06:40 pm: Edit

psat 1500 (80M/70V)
GPA 4.88
