I'm just curious.. do you think humans can survive without love? And I mean both physically and emotionally. Also, love comes in all forms, friendship, partner, family... etc. So.. tell me what you think as well as what you feel.

If you've never experienced it, Yes. But if you have ever experienced it before, I dont think a human could go on for long without it, you would soon enter a state of depression. Love is great, Im in it right now, and i just cant explain it..especially when you are loved back like me..

or of course you can enter the state of Vulcan-like emotions (in other words non existant), and defy all of from all sources, and all other emotions for that matter... now I'm kinda used to supressing emotions...

I think that people can survive without love, but not without becoming pretty strange. To be totally without love would leave someone warped and most others probably wouldn't be able to understand them.

I also think that someone's perception of not being loved does not really equal not being loved, and that almost everyone is loved by some relative or friend, even if they don't realize it.

Be happy without some form of love (be it from friends or lovers or even a pet)? No.

I agree with Haith. I think that if you've ever experienced it before then lost it, you'll always be looking for somethign to replace the feeling that you once felt. I'm in love right now also and it's the most incredible feeling ever. I feel like i'm one of those girls in the movies.

yeah.. I agree, if one knows what it feels like to love or to be loved, one can't live without it. And I mean.. emotionally,perhaps physically as well if say a person decide to suicide because of depression.

maybe not in direct "I love you " form, but atleast the kind of love where you know people care about you, etc..

I've been without the love of a girl for about 18 months now...it's terrible...even though I might look happy, I'm rotting away from the inside out.

Also...my friends and I have had sort of a gradual falling out, I hardly speak to them anymore since I'm only at the high school for about an hour a day....my parents and I have never been close...and my sister is now away at college...I need to find a soul mate and quickly.

God, I can't wait to get to college.

Live without love? No.

Humans are animals, so they can survive without love much like other animals if need must be...but...I agree, that if you have experienced love and it disappears it'll be hard or impossible to survive.

I guess because I am in love right now I can't see how I could live without it..thats why I say a human cant live without love. I mean its the greatest feeling in the world..honestly. And I was holding it back for a couple years and it finally came out and the girl feels the same way so its like that much better!

Somehow telling a girl they they have ears like Spock doesn't seem to allure them I wonder why. You could tell them that you're an interplanetary cadet who's main goal is to recruit pretty girls and take them to the sun or something ha ha.
