And then there was one...well, three, but really just one. Not my favorite candidate, but I'll certainly be voting for Kerry in November!

Assuming we can get over the fact that we've elected exactly one non-Southern Democratic candidate President since 1932, we should be just dandy.
Oh well; we could do worse than Kerry. I just worry that he doesn't have the capability to galvanize the Democratic Party.
EDIT: Wait; isn't there a gag order on political topics on this board?

Now it remains on who will be chosen as the VP running mate. I hope it's Clark - he's more southern than Edwards, and will definitely help Kerry's national security stance. Who can argue with retired four star army general? :/

But Edwards is stronger on the issues and is infinitely more charming than Clark.

Hmm... maybe someone who knows how Clark ordered an attack on allied Russian forces while commanding in Kosovo? Thankfully, the officer commanded to do so refused, saying he did not want to start World War III.

I'm not crazy about Clark. He voted for Nixon and Reagan, and only became a Dem when policaly useful. Sure, he has amazing credentials when it comes to National Security, but I don't think that Kerry's weak on that. He's weaker on his being able to identify with the "common man"--which is exactly John Edwards's greatest strength (son of a mill worker, etc).
I hope that Clark decides to support the ticket from the outside--future Secretary of Defense, perhaps?
Kerry-Edwards '04!
