i have been reading some posts and under their EC's, they list french/spanish/etc Honor Society. what is that? and how do you join? or get accepted?

It is usually an organization in one's school. You have to qualify with a certain GPA, etc.

At my school, you have to be a good student who achieves good grades in Spanish to get in. You also need a teacher rec.
