I'm planning to apply for this summer's edition of RSI. I've done research programs like it for the past two summers, and want to keep doing them to use as a hook for college apps. In the probable event that I'm rejected by RSI, what simililar programs are there?

There's nothing "exactly" like RSI. What are you interested in? If you're interested in chem, astonomy, or whatever, you'll get better suggestions if you define what you want a bit. Here's a link to a pretty comprehensive list of math camps.

There are a number of programs listed here:

I'm interested in anything having to do with physics or some kind of engineering related to physics. Obviously, nothing is quite RSI, but I'd like to know what else is out there. Thanks for the help.

Hey now, have a little confidence. The rate is a mere 5%, not impossible... :-)
There are no RSI alternatives.

And whatever happened to doing scientific research for the love of it? I sure hope I misunderstood you when you say you want to do RSI to get into college. That's the kind of attitude that can keep you from enjoying what you do.
The reason why going to RSI is great is because you learn to see that research itself is worth the trouble because it is fun, not because you'll get money or get into the college of your dreams. If you can realize that fact without going to RSI, you've learned the lesson, even though you will miss all the fun part of RSI.
