I just want to get feedback from others about what they plan to do for holiday gifts for teachers. Are cards nice? presents? should you just skip the gifts all together because the whole idea of it is just a bit too cheesy?

In the past i haven't really liked all my teachers but this year (as a jr) I LOVE them! I want to get them something (i think) i'm just not too sure about what seems like the right thing to give.

Something heart-felt - a small donation to a charity that you think would resonate with the teacher, home made goodies, a card with something more than just your signature (like a mention of something you really appreciate in your teacher), something silly to make them laugh.

i stopped giving teachers gifts in 8th grade.

but i guess if you really like them and they taught you well there's nothing wrong with that.

i just have a problem when it turns to kiss-assery and brown nosing.

were u one of those kids in elementary school who always wanted to pass out papers and help teacher whenever possible?
