"In what ways did economic conditions and developments in the arts and entertainment help create the reputation of the 1920's as the roaring twenties?"

does anyone have any ideas on how i can turn this into a persuasive essay?

thanks

you could link it to overproduction and the ensuing great depression... but that kinda gets away from the prompt. you could discuss how developments in arts and entertainment lead to the bettering of the economy (creation of jobs, morale, etc.) past that, i'm not sure.

thanks for the suggestions. if i had the time, i would probably be able to write a quality paper on one of those topics. unfortunately, my research paper's due tomorrow. i decided to say whether the reputation was bad or good. i know, it's completely stupid. i'm such an idiot for saving this thing til LAST minute.

The twenties was a decade of excess, like the eighties. World War One had just ended, and the economy was great. You could also talk about F. Scott Fitzgerald, he really defined the decade in his novels.
