What textbooks do you guys use for AP Chem? Does anyone has the book "Introductory Chemistry" of Zumdahl, Houghton Mufflin Press? I'm self-studying for Ap Chem right now and wonder if it is the right book. It looks kinda simple, doesn't it?

Zumdahl is the definitive first year college chemistry textbook, and my chem teacher has told me that it is used by most AP and IB chem courses as well.
Zumdahl may look simple, but there are literally hundreds of practice problems and "marathon" problems that take quite a bit of thinking and work to solve. The explanations are quite good, esecially on some of the more abstruce topics. My teacher bases his lectures off of the Zumdahl section.
I use it for IB, but I'm sure it covers all AP material as well.I recommend it without reservation.

I use "Chemistry: The Central Science" in my ap class. This and the other AP Chem recommended books are listed on the college board website.
