I am a senior in a public high school in a town of 5180 people in southwest wisconsin. I have attended public school all my life. I have been accepted into college, have been nominated for scholarships and am graduating with honors and I got a 27 on my ACT and do not plan to take the SAT. ( which i think would make some people on here cringe) I think my school is an excellent one, (I also think that some of you on here would cringe at the idea that it only offers 1 AP course). I have been reading some of the posts on here about applying to exclusive boarding schools and the process it takes to get into one. My question is, does it really matter where you go to school? Is a person who attends Exeter really going to do better in life simply because they went there? Is the pressure to go to the best prep schools really worth all the time, hassle and money?

1) Not really- it all really matters on what you get out of that school, and how well you do and try hard and take advantage of what it offers to you.
2)No-the person could end up being a crack addict, and therefore "fail" in life. Again, it matters what you do with the opportunity given to you.
3)Yes-because if one truly wants the experiance, and is ambitious enough, then of course it is worth it.

Okay, this post is making me really "indecisive"...I am currently in a IB school. However, there is another school which ranked 1st in the province with no IB. Which one should i attend??? is IB better or does college look at the rank of your hs??? Thanks ppl=)
