Last year I took a writing class at my local community college, and because of a sickness and an unexpected trip, I ended up with a "D" in the class. Am I required to put the class on my college application? What are the rules and policies on community college courses? I asked my counselor, and she said that I'm not required to put the grade on my high school transcript, but, I will have to send it to colleges. Though, a friend of mine said that his brother never put his community college grades on his application.
If I have to put it on my applicaiton, will it be calculated into my application GPA? I am well aware that I can re-take, but I want to know what my options are. Thanks.

don't put in on your application if it's just going to hurt you. if a college finds out about it, just say you didn't know you needed to put it down. you wouldnt voluntarily put down a suspension or something, so dont put this down either.
