It looks like I am screwed. Does this mean I can’t go to a good college? I am taking AP Computer Science and AP World History. Will it bring my GPA up? Is there any way to bring my GPA up to a 3.0 or higher?

hey my freshman GPA was 3.1 and I was really dissapointed. Just work you butt off the next three years. If I would have known how much freshman year counts, I wouldn't have screwed around so much. Plus, those AP classes will help A LOT! Just keep working hard, and I'm sure you'll get over a 3.0

It is not all over. Colleges are willing to look beyond low GPAs if you show that you can bring them up (substantially) through your sophomore and junior years.
If you want to be extra sure it won't hurt, you can always apply to a college like University of Michigan that only looks at your academic classes from 10th and 11th grade.
