I was downloading music, the black eyed peas song "where is the love" on kazaa, and no matter how many times I downloaded it from different users it always made this scratchy sound like 10 seconds into the song and it wont stop, it just continues on making that sound really loudly and the song dissapears (its like that sound when you turn to a channel that doesnt work on your tv)! what is it? is it a virus or something? Its actually frieking me out, and another songs I have downloaded have strange sounds of people talking in the middle of them! has this happened to anyone?

check the quality of the song before you download it, look for "excellent"..

First off. Dont post this in a COLLEGE forum.
2nd MP3s cannot have viruses, unless they have a different extension, a pseudoextension as mp3.
You're kazaa player is probably buggy, if you're listening to it there. If its your Winamp/MediaPLayer/whateveryoure using to listen, then that is buggy. If every program you use to listen to music makes the music sound that way, its either your headphones/speakers, or your soundcard.

You may already have a virus, dont you have an anti-virus on your computer?
I don't know how computerwise you are, afterall you're STILL using regular kazaa.

This happened to me with most new songs... I guess whoever got them on the net screwed up parts of the songs with that scratchy thing. I swear it freaked me out so many times while i was playing the song at FULL BLAST and playing Quake 3 Arena i basically jumped like a succer from my chair...

this happened to me too....and it was the black eyed peas song too, as well as senorita.
10 seconds into the song. I think we have a virus on our hands.

No, there is no virus. its the record companies putting bugged mp3's on kazaa to prevent p2p sharing.
Virus, laff.
