sorry guys, don't mean to offend anyone. but i'm really tired of reading these questions that sound like "do you think my high school would let me do this..." "how should i do this at my high school..." "Do you think this activity at my high school is good..."

Most of the visitors of this forum have NEVER been to *your* high school. They have no idea what *your* high school's policies are. I don't understand why they think the people on this forum know the answer to everything, know the stats of every single high school in the United States!!!

So what answers can I give to such questions? I could tell you my school's policies, which may be drastically different from your schools'. And in the end you'd still have to go to your counselors to see if the same rules apply. Why not go to them in the first place?

And I've been trying to tell others that *your* high school counselors will be the best resources when it comes to questions about *your* high school. They're there, they get paid for answering your questions, it's a waste not to use this excellent resource! Like most of you I had no clue about college admission process, I didn't even know about this website. Yet my counselors did an excellent job in answering almost all of my questions. Maybe some people should try to visit the counseiling office more often (hey, it helps when it comes to the time for the counselors to write you recs) instead of asking this forum about their high schools!
