take both if you can.
Psych is easier for a self-study, if you want to learn Psych on your own, while taking World Hist as a class...
Which one interests you more? They're very different in topics...

I'm planning on taking AP World History next year, too (as a sophomore). Since I've seen how difficult that course is, I'd advise you to take that at school and do AP Psych as a self study, which I am doing myself. Just get the Barron's book and there is some other one that was mentioned but I can't recall the title right now. Anyways, it seems like a history course would look better on college transcripts than AP Psych (then again, it depends on what you plan on majoring in). I don't know, but it seems like schools would NOT give credit for self study, but you can take the exam and get the college credit. Schools shouldn't really give credit for it anyways, considering it is self study. Anywho, talk to your counselor about it and see what they have to say. Good luck!

99.9% schools dont give credit on self-study.
Just buy BARRON'S for AP Psych, and you'll be set. Read through it a couple of times, and learn as much about the exam as you can. Then when the day for AP Psych test at your school arrives, take it then.
You dont have to tell the administration about your self-study until you take the test.
There-- youve eliminated Pysch for next year, and you have one more open slot available!
