im becoming a junior this september...

which is better schedule? (the one college will like more..)

#1.honors english
honors US history 2
honors math analysis(pre calc&trig)
honors physics
AP chemisty

#2.regular english
honors US history 2
honors math analysis(pre calc&trig)
AP Chemistry
AP Programming

these schedules are my 2 options for next year...
due to schedule confilct... i can't take honors english when i take AP programming...

#1 has 1 ap and 4 honors...and #2 has 2 ap's and 2 honors....

which schedule will look better to colleges?? (assuming that i can get same GPA for both schedules)

My first response is: Which would you prefer?

My second response is: #1 looks best. Why? You're pursuing the (what I assume to be) highest possible in each of your courses. Then again, #2 looks pretty good as well, so I wouldn't say either is really "bad."

Can you take AP programming senior year?
If you can, definately take #1.
Otherwise, if you're going into a scientific field, espescially computer sci, then I'd recommend #2.
If you're planning on going into the arts or something, stick with #1.

Just my opinion.

i would go towards #2... colleges focus A LOT on junior year.... they dont pay a lot of attention to honors.... but LOVE AP.... definately #2

I have to disagree with that- regular english doesn't look too hot to top colleges... if you can take ap programming sr year i dont think that theres a big deal

You could do #1 and self-study AP Programming. If you have some programming experience, it shouldn't be too hard.

im planning to major engineering...
does regular english look that bad? for junior year?

b/c... my school offers about 15 AP classes... i feel im taking too few ap classes...(my school offers AP US history, AP English, but im just planning to take honors for history and english b/c i sucked in sophomore year)
My english and history isn't the highest classes i can take

which schedule top engineering schools would like?
