I am a freshmen at high school. What things do I have to do in order to get in? I am ranked one out of 590 students and on my first time on sats i scored 1100. I also have a 4.0 with a+'s in 4 out of 6 classes. I play tennis and hope to be on varsity badminton. I have played piano for 8 years and hope to get my diploma. I am aiming to get 300+ hours of community service and i teach piano and math. What do i need to improve on?

Hmmm....seems very impressive to me. Find out what academic subject you really like and do extra work on that and continue your tennis and piano. I'm a freshman too and also ranked number one but in a class of 316. There are a couple of valedictorians in this forum. I think we'll be playing against each other in the college admissions game 3 years from now.

You sound like you're doing well so far. Don't get too comfortable in your position though. Make sure you always strive for #1 and not just assume it will be yours, I made that HUGE mistake.
Anyways you're doing well for now. After all you are only a Freshman so you don't have to stress too much but that's not to say that you should slack either. Also you might wanna take up an academic EC. Although many people argue that the current trend is to pick one or two ECs and become president and be fully involved in them I believe that you still need to show you're well-rounded. Try the debate team, student council, model UN, soemthing to that effect.
Other than that I have no suggestions or advice...Keep up the good work!
