Hey guys, it seems that some schedule (senior year) conflicts (stupid, incompetent administration) have forced me to take another AP class instead of Marching/Concert Band. So now I'm taking FIVE AP courses (English Lit, Spanish, BC Calc, Stat, Euro) and one honors course (Physics). Then I have a lunch and gym. Will taking so many AP courses murder me? Will I have ANY free time at all? Will I be forced start homework as soon as I return home from school (usually 4-5 PM depending on what activity I have after school) just so I can finish it by 12 AM? I'd appreciate any advice and comments from students that have experienced or will experience the schedule I have set out for myself. Thanks very much.

Well....AP Lit I'm not worried about cuz I know my teacher next year is a moron. We had one teacher for both Language and Lit this year, but she was fired because she was being EXTREMELY unprofessional in the way she conducted her classes. So there's a replacement for next year and she'll be a pushover. I also heard Stat should be easy and I like history so Euro shouldn't be too bad. But I heard our BC Calc teacher is killer and Spanish will hurt a lot too...

Crystal Baller, BC Calc is a very theoretical class, english lit is a breeze, and so is euro and most foreign languages (especially french). BC Calc is not toooo difficult but it definitely is not math and numbers, i resent that.

Well...perhaps AP Spanish is a breeze for you or just in your school, but I know for a fact that it's extremely demanding in our school. My sister only got 3-4 hours of sleep per night on average her senior year of high school and she only took 4 AP's (all the ones I'm taking except for Stat). And my sister is extremely intelligent (salutatorian by thousandths of a point, academia is her LIFE). I just hope I can handle it...

Your schedule is certainly demanding, but not overly so. Several of my friends received a full IB diploma, and although they were up until early morning every night, they still found time for a social life... not much of one, but whatever ;). jk - if you think you can handle the workload, then by all means go for it. It will make you that much more competitive on college applications.

Dude, no band? I guess I'll just have to carry the band, haha...
Is AP IV English Lit? Stupidly, I never realized that.

seriously, you can't compare with ppl. every1 is different.
4 aps may be a lot for some but may be "only" that much for others.
it realli depends on the school becuase my cousin in boston had 8 aps. And she didn't get that much work.
but in new york city my friends and I may consider 3 or 4 at a time a lot.
not saying that nyc is better htan boston, just saying the school/class structure is different

Since my school's scheduling is all messed up, my band class is in 0 period - that's at 7:15 AM folks, a whole 50 minutes before school officially starts (with homeroom).
