Does anyone know how to go about creating a club in high school? Do you have to get signatures, do extensive planning?? Please help, thanks!

I think the first step is asking for a teacher sponsor. I actually want to do the same thing and I'm glad the school I will attend next year has great support from faculty. Good luck!

The work isn't as 'extensive' as I'm sure you think. Generally, you must write up a constitution, set up an ASB account, etc. Basic stuff. Running the club is what requires the work. Good luck to you! W00t w00t for extra curriculars!

I started one with friends, and we went to the guidance department. The counselors had actually been wanting to suggest a similar club, but felt it would not be appropriate to do so(Gay/Straight Alliance). We began with them for support, and then recruited through them a few teachers who were willing to let us meet in their classrooms. Then, we made posters and had announcements for meeting times. Not that hard at all, but your school might be different.

does anyone have any ideas for clubs? I also want to start a club next year. All the clubs at our school are volunteering based or others like speech and debate or national honors society and deca.
