I have been taking karate for 10 years now. I will be getting my black belt in June. I have been looking at many applications and see the "honor/award" category. Is a black belt considered an honor/award? Can I write tha in "honor/award" and "karate" in EC activities?

No reason not to; if the college doesn't consider it to be an honour, then they won't take it into consideration. However, getting a black belt takes a lot of dedication, and colleges should see that you are able to achieve that. Good luck!

I went up to brown. (Right before black, usually)
Would that account for anything?
Or would that make me look like a pussy because I didn't go up to black?

LoL i think just the fact that someone does Karate is cool, and sets you apart from a whole bunch of applicants

i'm sure they think it's an amazing accomplishment to get up to black

and they sould think it's awesome that you're in brown belt don't worry
