is that possible? i plan to take chem 3b over the summer before sophmore year. and if all goes well, i will be done with my 7-breadth requirement by 1st semester sophomore year.

is it too difficult to do? I'm out-of-state and I'm sort of homesick and would like to go home as soon as possible, and especially to save a year's worth of tuition since the out-of-state tuition fees are just climbing and climbing.

Yes, it is possible to graduate in 3, especially if you stay for summer sessions and not dither.

On a sidenote, if I had to pay full out-of-state tuition (meaning no FA) to Berkeley, I wouldn't go. If I had to pay an arm and a leg anyway, I'd rather pay it to HYPSMC. And after all, if you're good enough to get into Berkeley out of state, then you should be good enough to get into at least 1 of HYPSMC.

thanks Sakky! :-)

i had one more question. If I were to take summer sessions, but I wanted to take them at home (U of Hawaii at Manoa), would the credits be transferrable? I know it probably depends on the course...but how does O-Chem sound?? transferrable credits???

talk to your SAA about that, they are the ones who make the final decision

I'm with Hwtf on this one, you really should talk to your advisor. There are no hard and fast rules about transfer credits, it's always run on a case-by-case basis.
