I immigrated to United States four years ago from Iran. During my freshman and sophomore year i was very busy improving my english by attending after school classes, so i rarely had time for ECs. I hope i at least mitigated the situation by joining AcDec during my junior year! If any of my SAT scores are low, I can also retake them during fall. Anyways, thank you so much for reading this.

Whats the difference between AP BC Calculus and Calculus IB?
| By Paulhomework (Paulhomework) on Sunday, October 10, 2004 - 12:39 am: Edit |
As strange as it might sound, Calculus IB is not just calculus. Although around 70% of class time is spent on calculus (topics similar to AB calc), the rest is spent on statistics, probablity, matrices, vectors, logic, etc. which are part of the IB Math exam.
I really did not want to take it; however, IB regulations force you to take the class in order to take the exam (unlike AP), and since I have to take a math exam, I had to repeat calc too.
Anyways, i'm still going beyond the most advance course my school's offering (BC) by taking multivariable.
Do you think an adcom would understand the situation if I explain it in the Additional Info section?
