and to think i left carmel valley for maryland (moral of the story: don't leave california)...no in-state tuition for me :( but after that article it doesn't seem like there would be much difference...

so will it just be UCLA projecting the fee hike? or berkeley too? (UCB is my preference) and i'm assuming that out-of-state is going to remain the same...

lol...As a Monterey native, I can tell you that the Monterey Herald always leaves something to be desired in the "journalistic veracity" department.

On the other hand, this looks like it was copy-pasted from the Los Angeles Times paper...

It looks like it's just a UCLA thing, Techiedork. Even if it was going to affect all of the UC's, it's still a long ways off. :-)
