I'm a senior at one of the toughest and most respected public high schools in So. Cal. it has one of the highest UC Acceptance rates (46 people from last years class got into Berkeley)
-GPA 3.68(W) 3.45(UW) Upward Trend (Tough School)
-I'm taking the most rigorous courses along with some classes that are interesting/intellectually stimulating that I hope colleges will like.
-About top 15-20% (School doesn't rank)
-SAT I 1500, 800(M) 700(V)
-SAT II Writing 750, Math IIC 790, US History 710
-Will have taken 4 Honors and 7 AP classes by graduation
ECs
-Eagle Scout (CMC LOVES this)
-250+ service hours (alot from above)
-Guitar Club, VP and co-founder
-Philosophy Club, co-founder
-CSF member
-Work 12 hrs/wk at an architecture firm (prospectve career)
-Independent guitar 7 hrs/wk
-Scuba certified, dived around the world
If had private college counseling so my essays are great. I have some teachers that will write me some great recs too. The only thing I'm really worried about is my mediocre GPA, I've been told that it isn't as much of a factor it's made out to be, but I'm still nervous. Thanks for any comments
