I suppose this message could go anywhere on the site, but since its in regards to applying to Michigan, I guess I'll ask it here.
I took the ACT twice, first time got a 30, second time a 31. I also took the SAT and for one reason or another I just felt horrible that morning and couldn't focus on the exam at all. I ended up getting a 1260, which is significantly lower than a 31 in comparison. Both my SAT and my ACT are on my highschool transcript (I'm going to my HS in a few days to see if I can just take the SAT off though). Will the lower SAT score hurt me, or will they give me the benefit of the doubt by looking at my best score of the two tests?

Like most universities, Michigan will ignore your lowest score. In fact, since you took the ACT twice and got 30 and 31 respectively (which are equivalent to 1350-1380), chance are, Michigan will realize you had an off day when you took your SAT and will ignore it. So don't worry...if you are an in-state applicant, you have a very good chance of getting in. If you are out-of-state, you still have a decent chance of getting in.

I wonder if Michigan will only look at your best math and verbal SAT score?
