All I can say is, "wow." That was the most incredible college football game I've ever attended, and anybody that says college sports are worthless obviously hasn't experienced the elation of rushing the field after a monumental upset your senior year, celebrating with your friends and partaking in something that you will all remember for the rest of your lives.

Future NU students, this is what you have to look forward to, and I have no doubt that you will enjoy the heck out of it!

As for this old hand, I've just never been happier to be a Wildcat. :-)

Damn straight. So glad I ditched all my reading to go. Go 'cats! (notice the strategically placed apostrophe)

Yeah, that was an awesome game. But did you guys see that one kid who was passed out? Do you know what happened to him? Is he okay now?

I don't know. I was worried about that kid too. I guess we'll find out what happened tomorrow when the Daily comes out.

Has anyone ever walked from Ryan to campus? WOW! I had no idea it was that far. Hahaha

I was watching that game.
It was hilarious. Gotta love NU's kickoffs.

Madd, no one said we SHOULD have one...we just did and it kicked ass!

Was there we rushed the field like wild hyenas hahah I got pics on my camera of 20 NU'ers trying to take down the goal post by climbing on top of it and dry humping.... it was a night game too, which is really really rare (only 2 in the last 4 years). what an experience... went to Evanston after that for a Persian Party, and then chilled and ate with some friends.

Was certainly a night to remember.

Yo btw... that kid who passed out... he died, lived in foster walker, which is literally like 100 yards from where i live... it really sucks, my condolences to his family and his loved ones.

By Glamourbaby19 (Glamourbaby19) on Sunday, October 03, 2004 - 10:40 pm: Edit

Wait, wait, what? The kid died?!? What happened? Alcohol?

By Zcat18 (Zcat18) on Monday, October 04, 2004 - 01:27 am: Edit

No, he had a heart condition, and something about the atmosphere--perhaps the extremely dense nature of the crowd trying to get onto the field--proved too much for him to handle, given his condition.

By Kk19131 (Kk19131) on Monday, October 04, 2004 - 06:05 pm: Edit

He had a heart attack. Also, he lived in Foster House, not Foster-Walker. I was about 10 feet away from him when it happened (after we rushed the field). One of my friends, who knew him personally, was with me, and devastated by what happened.....

From an Ohio State fan, good job Northwestern!! It only took you 33 YEARS to beat the Buckeyes. I will congratulate you again in 2037, the next time you will even come close to THE Ohio State University.
