this has to do application and creation of advanced numerical computation methods that will help model certain behavior in the area of biomedical research.

biomedical engineering is what it is. its engineering in the area of the biotech field (artifical protein synthesis, making CAT/MRI/PET machines, artifical limbs & organs.

I'm still wondering why Stanford doesn't offer an undergraduate biomedical eng. degree.
