Hi! I really want to go to Wash U, but I'm really not sure if I'll get in. I posted on the general admissions board but no one replied so I'm double-posting here. I'm really interested in studying International Business and International Relations (as a double major) and I'm planning on applying Early Decision to Wash. U. I've visited the school once already, and I'm visiting again on a bus tour with seniors from my area.

Do you guys think I'll be able to get in?

I have taken piano lessons since I was in Kindergarten and I really love music. My essays will probably either focus on my love of music or an intensive language study program in France this summer. (I spent seven weeks in France speaking nothing but French and I went to school every day.)

So what do you guys think are my chances of getting in Early Decision?

I probably have more stuff that I have just forgotten about myself.

When I was applying to Wash U, I heard that the business school was the easiest of all schools to get into. People were talking about how they would apply to the business school and then transfer to Artsci (or wherever school they really wanted to be in) after a semester or two..

Hmm I am not sure..but you don't really have to apply to both schools. You can declare your double major when you are accepted, so I would apply to the school you are most qualified for first. But that is just my opinion. Maybe you should ask the admissions counselor about how applying to both schools work. If is at all possible, set up and interview with an admissions counselor. I have heard they can earn you major brownie points if they know Wash U is your first choice and you wanna go ED..
