Another posts asks who got accepted to Stanford last year. I'd like to know who got rejected (or who you know of that did) and what their stats are?

I got rejected back in 2000. I had a 3.85 UW GPA, ranked 9th out of 480ish from a top 5 high school in Illinois, 1510/800/800/780, 34 ACT, 9 APs by graduation (Biology, Chemistry, Physics C, Calc BC, CS AB, Econ, Euro, Lang, Lit), National Merit Finalist, National AP Scholar Award (all 5's except 4 in Lang), High Honors in National Chemistry Olympiad (top 50 in U.S.), four-year Chicago city champion in math, several state awards in chemistry and math, and various other minor stuff. As you can see, my ECs were not the best. I attended UIUC and now I'm at Stanford for grad school.

Welcome to the club. 3.92 uwGPA, top 5% in class, International Bacculaurate Certificate holder, 6 AP exams (2 4's, 4 5's), first chair violin(came to campus for music audition), plenty of outside EC's for IB's CAS requirement, participated in Stanford Summer Quarter (Math 51 and art class...got A's)...Flat out rejected EA...not even deferred.
