Have horrible writing skills (i was struggling when i took english in 7th and 8th, barely understood what they said) , never had official training in grammar. luckily i can always check my grammar w/ my english teacher...
interests: engineering, med, or stat
Schools Considering for ED
NYU (reach): strong in med..., close to home
johns hopkins (superreach): ideal because it is strong in both engineering and med...
Cornell (superreach): strong in both areas too, but i was kind of put off when i found that Cornell is a big party school
tufts (reach): strong engineering program.
some comments? perhaps other school that i should look into? Any shot at my other reaches? (for EA or regular) matches? be as honest as you can, i can take a harsh hit of reality. I need to know where i stand, thanks.

Its always worth a shot to apply. Your stats do seem strong, but are nothing spectacular for NYU. The fact that you are from the Northeast and Asian isn't going to help you either. You might want to turn the living in Taiwan thing (you having an int'l background) into a possible diversity hook.
You should, without a doubt apply to NYU early decision to maximize your chances. All in all, I would say you are in the running.
Good luck!
