Is anyone going?

I'm going to the first session! October 17th-18th I believe. I'll be staying in a dorm or frat house on the Sunday night. Can't wait!

I have received an invitation to the Discover NU weekend. Does this mean the school is interested in me or is it just a general invitation for everyone? I have been receiving many newsletters and updates about Northwestern and am interested in it; however, my academics, while not bad, dont seem to be Northwestern caliber. I think it would be a waste of time and money to visit and take part in the weekend.

Discover NU is a general program to which everybody is invited. Northwestern doesn't recruit students for academic reasons or express interest in individual applicants due to merit.

Whether or not you decide to visit NU is obviously a personal decision, though I think it's always a good idea to get a feel for as many schools as possible, especially ones in which you are interested.
