Is it possible to transfer after Fall semester first year? I'm taking 7A, Chem1A, and 53M.. if I got A's in those, what would my chances be?

I don't want to take a bunch of engineering courses fall/spring of 2nd year if i won't be able to transfer. what kind of gpa would i need if i were to apply during 2nd year? it seems like quite a gamble

thx

I've posted on this question before (check the archives) as well as on general concerns about majoring in bioengineering vs majoring in a more traditional engineering subject (harder to get a job, and also if you study a more traditional form of engineering in graduate school you will have a lot of catch-up work to do).

The short answer is no, you can't transfer after only one semester because the College of Engineering will only take you once you've finished your freshman year. This means, however, that you can apply before you take a bunch of engineering classes.

If you got As in all these subjects your chances would be very good.
