3.7 unweighted GPA
Instate
4 AP classes
2 honor classes
300 community service hour
20 hours a week helping out my mom's store.
22 on ACT
1140 on SAT
Ouch, yeah i know my tests score sucked. I'm retaking it. I'm wondering if I should even bother applying for U of M? Also can someone please tell my chances at MSU? I want to at least be admitted there.

I think you will get in at MSU most likely. Your GPA is in their range and you did take hard classes. Apply to U of M anyway, it can't hurt and you never know.

Your GPA is fine, so is your class selection, but your SAT/ACT are way too low. Try to raise your SAT by at least 100 points or your ACT by at least 5 points. If you stay below the 1200 mark on your SAT or below the 16 mark on your ACT, I would say your chances are not good.

as long as your sat goes up, you're good, in-state will be your saving grace

Sent in my MSU application 3 weeks ago. Why am I not getting any letters? I'm getting nervous. I heard a girl got her admission letter 4 days after she sent her app.

Don't worry. If your friend applied earlier, she would hear back earlier. But...to ease your mind, you could call to be sure they got your application. I'd say you're in at MSU. Your SAT is right in their range and your GPA is good. Michigan might be iffy - but worth a shot. They don't care so much about SAT scores.
