Alright, let me have it. If I turn in my application in the next month, what are my chances? I know that my SAT score is low, but I will be retaking it in Nov. and rushing my scores. Will also be taking SAT II's in writing and US history in Oct. Expecting an 800 on history and 750+ on writing.

I will be applying to LSA and want to major in History and minor in Art History. My rec's will come from my AP Chem teacher who I had for two years and from my AP Art History teacher. Should both be excellent

PS: I love football and I just finished watching the Michigan-Iowa game. 6 turnovers! Man, you guys killed 'em! Go Michigan!

Just to let you know... UMich does not accept rushed s.a.t. scores. i checked it out too.
but even before that, i think you'd get in w/your stats, though i am an applicant myself.

=)

Michigan does not look at SAT IIs and I would use your ACT instead of your SAT. A 32 is more like a 1400 on the SAT. The mean SAT score for out of state students is 1350. The mean ACT score for out of state students is 30. So, you are at an advantage if you use your ACT. Apply as soon as poosible and I would say your chances are decent.

i've actually read that a 32 was equivalent to a 1470. maybe that was wrong though.

so you guys think that my chances are just decent? i'd really appreciate more feedback as to why exactly, cuz my guidance counselor told me that i'd definitely get into michigan. if he was underestimating how hard it is to get into michigan i want to know.

Michigan ios not a safety for you, but it is a very realistic match. I would say you have a 75% chance of getting in.

oh i didnt mean that it was a safety. its defiently one of my matches. my counselor just told me that it was "solid" and id probably get in. a 75% chance sounds pretty good to me. thanks so much
