alright alright, i admit it, i was a freshman freakout, but seriously...
I'm now in my sophomore year, and plan to DEDICATE everything i have to getting into UCB. I've been wanting to go to UCB ever since i was small and walked the campus with my dad who was in his senior year. My stats are disgusting for my freshman year, and probably the only thing that i could think of that was worth anything was geting a 4 on the AP French. So please please look at my stats and tell me i still have a chance. I know that UCB doesn't count freshman year in their GPA calculations, but you still have to show them your freshman grades (ouch)....
thanks a crapload

If anything, it may actually help you to have crappy freshman grades and then high sophomore and junior grades, because the UCs give points for significant academic improvement. However, your APs are pretty fluffy: Psych, Econ, Stat, Environmental Science. Many applicants to elite schools have taken APs in Calculus and the sciences.

Imblue-
are you suggesting that I drop a few of the fluffy APs and add more "challenging" ones?
If so, which one's should I take out/add for the UCs?
thanks

Ilikenietzsche-
I know UCs don't count freshman grades, but you still show them when you apply. Who are they gonna chose: the guy that got 4.0 uw all throughout high school or the guy that got crappy freshman grades, and then worked his way the next three years?
I don't know, maybe i'm just too worried...
