okay, i applied to UMICH on august 19th, and i got a confirmation email saying they received everything the very next day...i had sent in my test scores before and my teacher and counselor recs and everything. when does Umich start looking at the applications? when do u think i'll hear back from them - i kno the application says 12-14 weeks but in the past people have usually heard way before then......and is there like an "early deadline" for Umich, in terms of like what date do you have to apply by to get the full advantage of rolling admissions? just curious....thanks! i love the school, number one choice....and i am not good at being patient and i wanna know how long i need to pretend

It used to take 6-8 weeks, but since they dropped "the forumla" and moved to a different admissions system, it takes a little longer, like 10-14 weeks. So, if you applied in late August, you will hear back in late October. You certainly applied as early as anybody can, so you will benefit from the rolling admissions. Keep us posted.

Congratualtions Nirvana, that's awesome. So, are you going to be a Wolverine? What were your stats like? Are you a Michigan resident? Which college did you apply to (LSA, Engineering, Music, Architecture etc...)?

Nirvana, congratulations! which college did you apply too? so they've already sent out decisions? do you mean of this year or are you talking about like you are a freshman/sophmore/junior/senior of college and when you applied you got a big, thick envelope in two weeks....sorry i'm paranoid

They have not started to read apps and have not sent out decisions. I think they are about to start reading apps in the very very near future. I was just there.
