units 1 and 2 have "infill housing" going on, however, i havent heard if you will be able to choose to move into them vs. the "old" parts of the units

i think that the new unit 2 buildings will be ready for the spring. I know unit 1 won't be ready til next fall, i'm in unit 1. The dorms all depend on what you want. The units are generally more social, cause they are close to the campus and there a lot of things nearby. Clark Kerr is moderately social, but they are a bit of a walk away from campus. Foothill has a lot of engineering students and has a rep for being quiet and very studious. It all depends on what you want

i don't know anything about your housing situation, cuz i'm living completely off campus. :)

I've actually been taking classes @ UCI during the Summer and Fall -- they're letting me transfer the upper div. classes i take here over to cal. I am majoring in English.

I'm currently looking into various apt. complexes around Berkeley, most of which are about a mile or so away from campus. Prices range from $700-$800 for a 1bdrm, which isn't bad in my opinion, considering campus housing rates are comparable, and you get little to no privacy.

has anyone whose moving into the dorms (units, ect) spring 2005 gotten their housing contract yet? I read somewhere that we were gonna get it august or september.

I'm asking because I moved several months ago and I'm scared that if they already sent it they may have sent it to my old address. I already asked berkeley for a change of address but I don't know if it will get there in time.
