Well I know that there is no major for undergraduates in Biomedical Engineering or Biomedical Science. But how is their Biochemistry department?

Stanford's biochemistry department is ranked #2 behind Harvard. Stanford also offers a coterm BS/MS program where you get the MS in Bioengineering, which is almost a necessity in that field.

Bioengineering is a necessity in Biochemistry? If one just completes undergraduate degree in Biochemistry, are there substantial career opportunities available?

A masters degree is rapidly becoming a necessity in the field of Bioengineering, so many schools offer the MS in Bioengineering (and no BS).
