Hi...how much of a bearing do teacher recs have on the admissions process? or...do most teacher recs come in so high that they aren't taken seriously? Thanks

A mediocre or weak rec won't help and may hurt. Most recs probably are high, but ones that capture something personal or unique about the applicant may make an impression.

Great and thanks!

Bmy is exactly right. They get enough recs that offer genericly high praise that those types probably don't mean much to them. But when the recs offer insight into a student's idiosyncratic characteristics and unique personality traits, they can make a meaningful and helpful impression.
