I don't want to take away the encouragement of the previous post, but if your GPA is ~3.8 (95% of 4.0), and SATs of 1330, as an out-of-state applicant Berkeley might be a bit of a reach. Your statistics are in-line with the average profile of in-state applicants that are accepted, but Berkeley is much tougher to get into as an out-of-state applicant. Unfortunately, unlike with private universities, Berkeley cannot technically provide any bonus points for being an URM. You should definitely apply, and you'd probably make an excellent addition to the school body, but it certainly won't be a safety. =/

Hi..I am a student at a community college in orange county. I want to transfer to Berkeley (Haas)as a junior. Im a bus. major. I have a 3.95 GPA. I am the president of the BUs club, pres of leaders of america, pres of film makers club, director of public relations for student gov, and a member of phi theta kappa. Do u think i will have a shot? ALso do u think im doing too many clbs? what do u think about me and what can i do to improve my chances? I am also gonig to start tutoring and mabye start a charity at school. Im trying to show berkeley that i am a leader. please help me
