I guess I was all about Medill for a while. Then against it. Then for it. And the against it again.

I'm not really sure. . .I'm in Metro-Atlanta, so I guess the notion of moving to Chicago is starting to get to me. The weather and all will probably be a big annoyance. Plus I don't know how much I'd like to be in a big city. . .I know Atlanta. It ain't great. I've also read some negative things on places like studentsreview.com. . .which is expected for any school. There are just as many, if not more positive comments, yet the negatives always stick out.

However, Medill is Medill. . .the best journalism school in the nation.

Can you guys help me with this decision?

I thought you just had Ivan??? j/k.

Looks like most top programs are in places where you'd experience real winter. When compared with other schools with good journalism program, NU is the only one regarded as top school (Columbia doesn't have undergrad program). So if you change your major later, you still have other great programs to choose from.

I read that U of Georgia has a decent program in journalism but if you are a top student, do you really want to associate yourself with a school known for offering that basketball 101 exam? :)

By the way, NU is not really in chicago; it's in Evanston.

I'm trying desperately to get out of state. UGA is a fine school, with a fine journalism program, and it's a good alternative, but I think I'd rather get away from a school with a social scene that seems so much like high school.

Thanks for the response. . .I'll ponder the situation.
