I have heard conflicting reports on the issue that Rice is easier/harder for Texas to get in. I am wondering if you have any idea which is true. I live about an hour and a half outside of Houston, and am applying ED because I have wanted to go to Rice for several years. I have defintely shown my intrest thorughout the past few years: two years of summer school, interview, tour, infor sessions, and am doing an overnight stay. I have tried to demostrate my intrest in all aspects. Thanks for any input.

The stats: ~700 spots, 50% from TX out of which ~50% from metro Houston. But remember Houston Metro is 3-4 million people and hundreds of Highschools.
