Hi,
I was wondering how the dorms at georgetown are. are they very small and crowded. Also, what is the average class size? I visited over the summer, but when all the students are there, is the school packed with people?
Thanks!

My daughter is in the smallest dorm on campus and she managed to get her stuff crammed in. I have a link to pics of the dorm room (Darnall) on another thread about dorms - check for it.
I was talking to her the other day about class sizes bc I wondered how they were in reality compared to what the guides say. They are all different. Her proseminar class only has 15 in it, spanish 20, latin american civ 25, Problem of God is 20, and econ over 200 bc it is a large lecture class. These are mostly freshman classes except the spanish/latin american one so they will be larger. I am not sure when you move into your major how much smaller they are. She is in SFS.
I will leave the last response to those that are there during the school year. I was there for the parents stuff and with all the kids plus parents it wasn't bad.
If I can answer any more questions let me know.

I'm in Harbin hall. The rooms are GREAT. So much space. I also have some pics of my dorm, as well as some other stuff:

Classes are a mix. Intro to Comp Sci has around 200+ people, but we divide into lab sessions, and mine has 8 people. Healthcare in America has around 20 people. Intro to Philosophy has around 200 people, but we divide into discussion sessions for that, and mine has 30 people. Modern Astronomy has around 60 people i think. Physiological Psych has around 30 something people. It's a mix generally.
The school has over 6000 people, just for undergrad. You can add the med school people as well, and others.

The school doesn't feel "packed with people" (especially if you like to get up early; on weekends in particular, you'll have the place to yourself, lol). As for class size, my classes are very small (one has only nine people in it).
