Asian Male (Indian)
Out-of-State
One of the top public schools in Illinois
GPA: Weighted: 4.159
Unweighted (UM style with only 10th and 11th grade): 3.87
Class Rank: (46 out of 738)
94th Percentile
This would be much higher, but I switched high schools during soph. year and that high school did not offer as many honors/AP classes for underclassmen as my current school does. I was in the Top 10 people at the end of my sophomore year, but unfortunately we moved and my class rank went down. This also did not allow me to join NHS, because my new school did not know about me so I was not offered an application.
ACT: 26 (I putting in a great effort to study this time and I think I can get a 30).
AP's: Like I said before I was not offered any AP opportunities until I came to new school.
AP US History: 3 (Junior)
AP Macro:? (Senior)
AP Government: ? (Senior)
AP Calculus AB: ? (Senior)
EC's:
None Freshman Year
Latin Club (Soph)
Academic Team (Soph)
DECA-Marketing Club (Junior)
Volunteering:
Volunteered at my mom's friend's brother's clinic (he's a physician) at the end of my freshman year.
Volunteered at my place of worship every Sunday serving meals (Freshman and Sophomore)
Work: Worked at my dad's gas station this during the summer of my soph. and junior years.
I am going to Major in Biology then hopefully get my MD.
Thanks for evaluating
And let me know what I should improve on. I know I definitely need to improve on my ACT.

A 3.9 GPA and top 10% rank is pretty typical for out of state candidates. If you can raise your ACT to 30, you have a decent chance. But as it stands, I would say Michigan is a reach.
Good Luck

Don't send your ACT, just send your SAT.

Thanks Samwise. I only got a 1230 on my SATs. Which is equivalant to a 28 on the ACT. So, it's not too much better. As you can see I am not a great test taker.
