hey guys, im gonna apply to stanford this year, and im wondering what the parties are like. Is there a lot of alcohol? Are people smoking weed? Do they tend to be sober, with people just chilling out? Do they have a lot of loud music? Whatever can be associated with big get-togethers at Stanford, I'd like to know about. Maybe new freshmen can discuss it, since beginning of school parties may be good. well, that is, if theyve moved in already.

what are you talking about. those 7 days are when we are going to have all the fun!!! for god sakes, all those freshman with nothing to do.......but party.

I hear that there is a good amount of alcohol at stanford, but not too much drugs.

Bnp what I meant was that we wouldn't be able to tell what parties are ACTUALLY like because it would be all hyped up and fun, as opposed to when we have work to do. "actual social scene" meant "what you normally find on campus".
