I'm so confused bc I heard that NU online apps are free if u send b4 Dec 1st (actually it was from a thread on CC) but i signed up for online app and u still do have to pay the $65. it would be nice if it really were free, i need as much of a break with all these app fees as i can get! thanks

Um, if it was the same as last year, even if you apply on line, you still have to pay. You can pay online by credit card, or, if I remember correctly, pay by check in the mail. Sorry 'bout that.

Um... you can't really pay by check. I accidently ended up paying for my app. twice that way. There are some schools that charge you nothing if you apply online, Colgate and Willamette Universities being a few.

First i paid online but THEN the northwestern rep came to my school and handed out "apply online for free use this card" cards. So maybe you have to wait? The rep gave these out around october. I actually even got my money back :-) that was exciting.

so long story short: you need the code.

i applied free because they sent me a free online app in the email, through no asking on my part. Of course, being Mexican or some other URM like me helps. wink.
