Would the University of Michigan like to see AP scores along with the app? If I did well on AP's would it help my chances at acceptance? Also, would I report the scores like you do with SATs or would I just tell them somewhere in the app about them? Thanks

Of course. If you took a few APs and got 5s or a healthy mix of 5s and 4s, do not hesitate to list them. Michigan like most top universities, will consider AP exams. In fact, there is a space in the application that asks for AP exam scores.

I don't think there's a space that asks for AP exam scores... only a space to list what exams taken, and when.
I was planning on listing what subjects/when I took it... but just not send the scores. Will that be looked down on? Because I did horribly on both AP tests.

You'll send scores if you get in the following year, no need to have them sent then. The reason they must have your SAT or ACT scores, but not your AP scores is because AP is primarily for placement once you're already in. If one was to lie on their application (which you should not do), claiming they took more APs or did better than they said, they may have been accepted, but would not get that credit, and I would think probably have their admission offer rescinded.

what if ur SAT scores are on ur transcript? it's not like the school would lie. is that "official" enough?

Mattman, good AP scores actually impact the admissions decision. So, if one has taken APs and done well (5s and 4s), it is certainly worth having official documents sent showing the results.

I don't think it'll have an impact, but its your money. If you really think AP results are required for you to have a chance, then you're probably better off applying to a safer choice.
